8 January 2005 Event at Gyuto Vajrayana Center
Dear Friends,
Since our resident teacher Ven. Dhakpa Tulku Rinpoche has left for India for five
months there won't be any teachings during his absence. However, the resident monks
at the Gyuto Center will be conducting a Nyungny Retreat, Pujas and Prayers regularly.
We will be giving a class teaching how to perform Tsog at home and also a class on the
offering mudras. We will begin a new session of our Tibetan Language class. Please
check our website from time to time for these events.
The schedule will be in our Newsletter which will be out soon.
We have good news to report to our members. Next week we will have three new venerable
monks from the Gyuto Monastery coming to replace the current resident monks Ven. Jampa,
Ven. Ngawang and Ven. Tsewang at the Gyuto Center. We look forward to welcoming the
new resident monks.

Sarwabid Vairochana (Kunrig) Empowerment.
Kunrig is known as "the King of Deities for purifying the lower realms". Even if
someone has already been born in the lower realms, if you do Kunrig practice or
puja, they will be liberated from the lower realms. There is a story that when a
deva died and was born in one of the hell realms, King Indra didn't know what to
do, so he asked Buddha for help. Buddha then manifested as this deity Kunrig and
granted the practice of the Kunrig jang-wa. The deva was then liberated from the
lower realms. Sarwabid Vairochana belongs to Yoga Tantra class.
Commitments: NO COMMITMENT
Medicine Buddha Empowerment
The Medicine Buddha has special power of healing. One can recite Medicine Buddha’s
name or mantra to obtain special healing blessings. For centuries, Buddhists have
been reciting his mantra prayers to bring ultimate healing of spiritual disease,
as well as for cures everyday problems of the body and mind. Medicine Buddha belongs
to Action Tantra class.
