7 June Event at Gyuto Vajrayana CenterDear Friends,Programs and news from the Gyuto Vajrayana Center: Guru Puja (Tsog Offering) Saturday June 12th at 10.00am-11.00am Sunday 27th at 9.00am - 10.00am The 12 Links of Dependent Origination Dates: June 13th and 27th, Time: 10.00am-12.00pm Ven. Lobsang Dorjee Rinpoche will begin his teachings on The 12 Links of Dependent Origination, the process by which sentient beings cycle in samsara. Rinpoche recently gave the first two parts of his teachings on the Four Noble Truths. Rinpoche will now combine these teachings to show the meaning and interaction of the 12 Links with the Four Noble Truths. This teaching, the correspondence of the Links and the Truths, is exactly related to the teachings His Holiness the Dalai Lama gave in Toronto at the Kalachakra in his detailed commentaries on texts by Nagarjuna and Lama Tsongkhapa. These teachings not only explain how our karma drives us into endless cycles within samsara but also how the process can be reversed enabling us find renunciation and escape from samsara. This will be Venerable Lobsang Dorjee Rinpoche's last teaching during this visit. We hope that Rinpoche will return to San Jose in the near future and continue giving precious teachings to our devoted Dharma friends. Rinpoche will be returning to India in July where he will be teaching at the Drepung Loseling Monastery in South India as His Holiness the Dalai Lama advised. Tibetan class We have completed eight weeks of Tibetan classes and Ven. Jampa has kindly agreed to resume again in July as we have many students keen to continue the class. This is a continuation class and not a beginning class. Ven. Jampa will not go through the alphabet again during this class The class will take place every Saturday of July and August at 2 pm-3.30 pm. This is a free class for the members of the Gyuto Center Venerable Dhakpa Tulku Rinpoche We have very good news from Italy. Most of you know that our teacher, Ven. Dhakpa Tulku Rinpoche, will be coming back to San Jose in early July and will be giving teachings at the Gyuto Center until the winter of 2004. All his teaching schedules and programs will be announced after his arrival. Rinpoche is in very good health and is currently teaching on one of the Italian islands. Rinpoche's assistant Ven.
