The Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life
These teachings on the Bodhisattva's deeds are based on Shantideva's inspirational verses on
Mahayana aspiration and practice. Composed over 1,000 years ago, they are still widely regarded
as the most authentic and complete guide for the practitioner dedicated to the enlightenment of
all beings. They range in scope from simple practical techniques for dealing with destructive
emotions to the most refined discussion of ultimate truth

Venerable Dhakpa Tulku Rinpoche
Venerable Dhakpa Tulku Rinpoche will be arriving next week. If anyone wishes to receive
Rinpoche at the Airport you are welcome to join. Here are the details of his arrival:
SFO international Airport with China Airlines
Saturday July 9th at 7.30 pm
Please note that there is no event at the Center upon his arrival.
This is Ven. Dhakpa Rinpoche's third visit to San Jose and he will be here until the end
of December. During his short visit to San Jose, we will be requesting many teachings,
blessings and initiations.
Please log onto our website from time to time for the schedule of teachings and other events: www.gyutocenter.org
All the teachings and events will take place at the Center unless otherwise noted.
Pujas & Prayers: If anyone wishes to request Dhakpa Rinpoche to perform pujas, prayers and blessing
for your family or yourself, please send us emails with your full name and brief description of your
concerns and we'll schedule your prayers and puja by Rinpoche and the resident monks.
If anyone wishes to invite Rinpoche to your house for house blessings, prayers and pujas for the
family and friends, please send us email. We also need some help to invite Rinpoche to take to
parks, beaches and mountains for fresh air and relaxation. Please let us know if you would like
to invite Rinpoche out and spend some time with your family and friends.
Contact Ven. Donyo by email: info@gyutocenter.org or phone 408-926 9430.
Appointments: Rinpoche has kindly agreed to accept appointments once a day and preferably
in the morning for consultation or divination. We request that all visitors keep their appointment
times to a maximum of one hour. Rinpoche will be very happy if you ask him Dharma questions for
your daily practices. Please prepare all your questions well before you come to see Rinpoche.
Fee: There are no fees for the teachings, pujas, prayers and appointments but we welcome any
amount of donations for the Center. Without your support we are unable to invite such high lamas and
provide teachings and prayers for the community. If anyone would like to sponsor teachings and
events, please let us know in advance and we'll be very happy to organize your request.
Parking: We very much respect our neighbor's traffic concerns. We request that all the members
park their cars a block way from the Center or park on the Center's drive way or the back of the house.
Special Thanks: Last month we had weekend clean-up day and a handful of devoted members joined
us to clean up the entire Center. Some members worked very hard on the garden and some helped us to
repaint Rinpoche's room, the Gompa, the prayer wheel house and the entire outside of the house. Some
members generously sponsored Rinpoche's new altar, bed, tables, chair and his beddings. Some helped
to prepare the beautiful food for the hard worker members. Some members don't have time to do any
volunteer works at the Center but they have been very generous keeping the Center alive with their
regular donations.
On behalf of all the monks of Gyuto Monastery, I would like to thank you so much for all your support to
help the Dharma flourish in the Bay Area. Thank you again.
Thank you
Ven. Donyo, Director
