26 February Event at Gyuto Vajrayana CenterDear Friends,Six-Armed Black Mahakala Empowerment Sunday April 4th, 2004, 1.00pm-3.00pm RAMADA INN 1217 Wildwood Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089 This is an early announcement of a special event to help those of you who are interested plan to attend. Our resident teacher, Venerable Lobsang Dorjee Rinpoche, ex-Abbot of the Gyuto Monastery, has decided to offer a Six-Armed Black Mahakala empowerment to the local community for the benefit of all sentient beings. Six-Armed Black Mahakala is the wrathful emanation of Chenresig, the Bodhisattva of Compassion. This empowerment is a powerful means of removing obstacles to one's Dharma practice and protecting us and our practice from harm. This empowerment into the King of Protectors comes from the impeccable lineage of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and His Holiness’ tutors directly to Lobsang Dorjee Rinpoche. Due to Rinpoche's wish to benefit as many people as possible there will be no prerequisites for attending this event. Additional details will be announced closer to the event. As we expect many of you will wish to attend we will not be holding this event at the Gyuto Center but have booked a room at the Ramada Hotel in Sunnyvale. We would greatly appreciate you registering for this event so we can plan to accommodate attendees as comfortably as possible. The Gyuto Center never charges for teachings but relies on individual generosity to make all its teachings available to everyone.
