Jorden, is attending His Holiness the Dalai Lama's teaching in Dharamsala, India. As a result Rinpoche and the new resident monks will not be able to arrive in San Jose until the mid-April. Therefore, we have had to cancel all of Rinpoche’s teachings for March. However, we are still performing on-going program of pujas and prayers.

Jangwa Puja for deceased persons:
The Venerable monks of Gyuto Center will be offering the Jangwa puja for deceased persons. The Jangwa puja is a skilful Vajrayana practice for purifying the negative karma of those who have recently died and for transferring their consciousnesses to a pure land. It is very important to purify the bones and ashes by means of the Jangwa ritual for people who have recently passed away. This practice can liberate beings from the lower realms and can benefit those who are in the intermediate state on their way to a lower rebirth by changing their rebirth to the human realm or a pure land. In that way, those beings have a chance once again to meet the Dharma. Through this ritual the karma of the deceased person is purified and the Buddha’s wisdom is invoked. The ashes and bones of the deceased are purified and consecrated by the Jangwa ritual.
Participants can bring photos and names of their family or friends who have passed away. They may also bring ashes, if possible. If you can not attend the puja, then you can send photos and names by mail or email.
Everyone is welcome.
Thank You!
Ven. Thupten Donyo
