18 October Event at Gyuto Vajrayana Center
Dear Friends,
Pilgrimage to the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas
Organized by the Gyuto Vajrayana Center, San Jose
Buddha said that “Every living being has the potential to become a Buddha if they
completely purify their minds of all faults and limitations”.
We can be inspired to accomplish this goal by visiting holy places and meditating on
the teachings of the Buddha.
Saturday, November 20th, 2004
Buses will leave the Bay Area around 8:00 am and leave from the Sagely City at 3:00 pm
Buses should arrive back in the Bay Area around 6:00 pm
The Gyuto Center is organizing a pilgrimage to the Sagely City of Ten Thousand Buddhas in Ukiah.
Established by the great Chinese Master Hsuan Hua in 1976 the City has become a major
place of pilgrimage in America. Master Hua also set up the Dharma Realm Buddhist
University from which many monks and nuns have graduated and have left to teach the
Dharma to people in every corner of the world.
Dhakpa Tulku Rinpoche will lead prayers at the City to the Ten Thousand Buddhas and
dedicate merit for the benefit of all sentient beings.
This is an extraordinary opportunity to visit a unique place of pilgrimage with
Rinpoche before he leaves for India.
We will be picking people up by bus at locations to be announced closer to the event.
The fee for the trip is $35.00 per person and will include a light lunch.
In order to reserve enough buses for the trip your seat will not be confirmed until we
receive your payment.
