Monday Dec. 26 7 pm - 9 pm

Vajrasattva is the most powerful deity to purify all the negativities which we have accumulated from beginning less time. According to the Tantric tradition it is very beneficial for the confession and purification of all our negativities. The main purpose of the Vajrasattva practice is to remove hindrances, obscuration and the negative actions we have accumulated in the past. If you do this practice sincerely all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will think of you as their own child and everything that obstructs your spiritual experience and ultimate realization will be dispelled.

Bodhicitta Ceremony

Traditionally, at the end of a series of teachings, there is always a Bodhicitta Ceremony done by the Lama and disciples to dedicate all their collected merit for the benefit of all sentient beings. We pray and request that Buddha Maitreya save all the merits we have collected in the past before we lose them with wrong actions of body, speech and mind.

During the Bodhicitta ceremony students can bring an item such as their Mala, Khata or flowers to hold in their hands. These items represent all of our merits and we offer them to Buddha Maitreya to save until we are reborn as a disciple in his Pure Land. Everyone is welcome for the Bodhicitta Ceremony.

Anniversary of Lama Tsongkhapa

This day is the most important day for the Geluk tradition. It is the day that Lama Tsongkhapa founder of the yellow hat tradition took Parinirvana. All the Geluk tradition monastery and nunneries will be celebrating this anniversary. Everyone is welcome and can bring flowers, fruit, cookies and candles for offering.

Farewell Potluck

Dhakpa Rinpoche is leaving for India at the end of December. Therefore, we are having a Farewell Potluck Party for Rinpoche, Ven. Jampa and Ven. Losang. Every one is welcome to say good bye to our precious teacher.
