Greetings from the Gyuto Vajrayana Center

This is to remind you that the Ven. Sharpa Chojay Rinpoche will be giving the 13-Deity Yamantaka Empowerment this coming weekend.

This is a 2-day event! You have to attend on both days in order to receive the full initiation.

The 13-Deity Yamantaka (Vajrabhairava) Initiation belongs to the Highest Yoga (= Anuttara) Tantra class of practices and is one of the three principal practices of the Gyuto Monastery & College. Since this initiation is rarely given in the West we are grateful for this opportunity. There are no prerequisites for taking this empowerment.

Taking this empowerment comes without any sadhana (=practice) commitment. Practitioners who have taken any Anuttara Tantra initiation in the Gelug tradition, have a commitment to recite the Six-Session Guru Yoga on a daily basis. he text for the Six-Session Guru Yoga and a short 13-Deity Sadhana (=practice text), translated by Alexander Berzin will be handed out and/or made available for download. More information on the practice can be found at our website and on www.vajrabhairava.com.

During June and July Rinpoche will give commentary teachings on the 13-Deity Yamantaka practice on a weekly basis. Check our Event Calendar for dates.
